About Us

Augusta Carve began in 2015 as a hands-on woodworking hobby, creating furniture pieces and home décor designed to be both functional and well made. Early projects included American Flags, tactical gear racks, bookcases, and custom home pieces, all built with an emphasis on durability, clean edges, and thoughtful design.

As demand grew, Augusta Carve became an official business in 2019.

Over time, the home décor market became increasingly saturated and began to slow. Rather than competing on volume alone, we chose to refocus on what we do best—precision woodworking—and put our energy into supporting other makers. In 2024, that led us to shift our primary focus to crochet basket bases, helping crafters and small businesses create consistent, professional-quality products of their own.

Today, Augusta Carve specializes in high-quality wooden crochet bases made with the same attention to detail that guided our earliest work. Each base is carefully cut, inspected, and packed so makers can spend less time troubleshooting materials and more time growing their craft and their business.
